The brake nut of a Bulgarian hoist is used to adjust the brake. It compensates for wear on the friction lining: the nut displaces the brake pulley, ensuring proper clearance and proper braking. It is used to restore the rotor to its original position as parts wear out, secured with locking screws, and is used in KG and KGE hoist motors.
