Rope guide for hoist

A rope guide (also called a rope guiding device) is an auxiliary mechanism in lifting equipment (electric hoists, winches) designed to properly guide and tightly lay the rope in the drum grooves.

Main Functions
Orderly Winding: Prevents tangling, overlapping, and kinking of the rope when spooling onto the drum.

Rope Protection: Reduces friction and mechanical wear on the rope, extending its service life. Limit Switch Control: In many designs (e.g., Bulgarian hoists), the rope guide operates the hook travel limiters in their upper and lower extreme positions.
