The block pinion is a key component of the Bulgarian hoist's (T, MT series) travel mechanism gearbox, transmitting torque from the electric motor to the trolley's drive wheels.
Design and Function
Design: It is a stepped component with two gear rims of different diameters (small and large) on a single axis.
Reduction: It acts as an intermediate link that reduces engine speed and increases torque.
Operating Mechanics: The small gear on the travel motor shaft meshes with the large gear rim of the block pinion, and the small gear rim transmits rotation to the gear rim of the travel wheel.
