Safety clamp for hook suspension

The safety shackle (or safety lock/latch) of a Bulgarian hoist's hook block is a mandatory safety feature that prevents slings, ropes, or other lifting devices from accidentally falling out of the hook's opening during lifting, moving, or stopping a load.

Design and Function

This device consists of:

Shackle (tongue): The movable part that closes the open end of the hook.

Springs: Provides constant clamping force, holding the tongue closed.

Axles/Pins: The attachment point of the shackle to the hook body.

The primary function is to ensure operational safety. According to industrial safety standards and Rostekhnadzor regulations, operating lifting equipment with a faulty or missing safety lock is strictly prohibited.
